La Palus is a stunningly beautiful French farmhouse fully renovated and in a quiet setting, close to The Mediterranean and with wonderful views over vineyards. The property offers three bedrooms, 2 sitting rooms, 3 shower/bathrooms and large gardens of over 3 acres. The swimming pool is set in large secluded gardens, not overlooked and the property is within a 5 minute drive of a medieval town with restaurants, bars and shops.
La Palus is a beautiful 200 year old French Farmhouse which has been lovingly restored and now provides a very high standard of accommodation. It is set in the countryside, some 40 minutes from Montpellier and just 20 minutes from the Mediterranean. The gardens are extensive with plenty of room for children to play
The Accommodation
There is a beautiful kitchen dining room with hob, two ovens large butlers sink, two fridges and a freezer, dishwasher and microwave as well as a walk in larder. There is a separate utility room with washing machine, tumble drier and sink, and beside this is a shower room with toilet.
From the dining room a door leads to the comfortable sitting room with large flat screen TV which has UK satellite channels, a DVD player, a stereo system and within the room is broadband internet access for those with a laptop. There is a small dining table, two comfortable sofas and chairs. French windows lead from the sitting room onto the large shaded terrace with ample seating for al fresco meals, a barbeque is also provided.
On the first floor there are two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom, a second sitting room with French windows leading onto a terrace with super views over the vineyards. There is a bathroom with toilet, a separate shower room and a separate toilet. A cot can be provided and also a small child’s bed could be provided and put in the first floor sitting room if required giving sleeping for up to 8 people.
Outside the house the gardens are a delight to behold. There is a wonderful shaded terrace which gives access to the swimming pool. The pool has depths between 1 metre and 2 metres and has roman steps for easy access for children and those of limited mobility. Beside the pool is a covered terrace area (left) with sunbeds and chairs, this area is where you can sit and relax whilst the children play in the pool, which is fitted with a pool alarm.
Onward to the boules court for an evening game of petanque and further to the rest of the garden area with delightful views over the vineyards and garrigues, take a book, a drink and enjoy the peace and quiet. The nearest main road is over half a kilometre away ensuring a very peaceful stay.
