The entertainment room is easily converted to a very comfortable 2nd bedroom with adjoining bath and queen-sized pull-out sofa bed. Additional futons are available to sleep two more on the floor. A private, separate studio apartment with a queen bed and kitchenette is near completion on the ground level of the house and will be available. This is one of Big Sur’s finest private wilderness environments. From Highway One you’ll enter through a gated bridge over the Big Sur River (just north of the Big Sur River Inn), then rise up the mountain to 1,200 hundred feet, then drop down toward the Pacific Ocean to a private valley.
Clear Ridge Rd continues down to a 2nd gated entrance, opening to world-renowned Pfeiffer Beach. There is wonderful on-site hiking and a seldom-traveled road used as a favorite hiking trail. More hiking also at close by Andrew Molera State Park. The property offers free, high-speed internet, but no cell phone reception, though it is available nearby. This is the perfect getaway for those who want a true, wild and very private Big Sur experience. It’s a fully solar-powered luxury home with all the comforts, but away from it all.
