The municipality of Buger is located between the municipal districts of Campanet, Sa Pobla, Inca and Selva. In the west, south and east it is surrounded by hills ranging in height from 100 to 150 m. With an area of 8 km2 and 917 inhabitants Buger is the smallest municipal district on Mallorca. The craft industry in Buger produces picarols (cowbells), other types of bells and wooden spoons (cucharero). There are also outstanding products produced from the pig and the sheep. Almost all of the bars and restaurants in the area have made it a custom on Friday evenings to serve their guests delicacies from Mallorcan cuisine, all of which were made from regional products. Buger celebrates the feast of its patron saint, San Pere, on 29 June.
