We want to share our little bit of paradise with you . Watch ships sailing into Louisbourg harbour greeted by Canada's oldest light station. Opposite the lighthouse is the Fortress of Louisbourg, with its cannons pointed across the harbour. You can hear the boom across the harbour every day at 4:45 as the cannons go off. Once a week, on Thursday evenings in July and August is Murder Mystery Night at the Fortress. For information and tickets go to http://www.fortressoflouisbourg.ca/murdermystery.html Enjoy Crabfest the 1st weekend in August. The last week of August celebrate the King's birthday with a spectacular fireworks display over the harbour. For those who love diving adventures there are plenty. There are wrecks of French men-of-war from the siege of 1758 lying on the harbour bottom. Louisbourg Harbour is a protected area but you may visit with a guide . There are many walking trails, including Simon's Point, a wonderful walk through the woods that takes you to a beautiful view of the Atlantic ocean. Grab a rod and fish for mackerel off the wharf.

Wake up every morning to the sound of the ocean and views of The Fortress of Louisbourg from your front room windows. There are total of 3 bedrooms , 2 with a double bed, and a loft bedroom with twin beds. A large eat-in kitchen, a dining room and a living room (satelite tv,dvd player, stereo, movies, games, books) with a pull out couch that can sleep 2. There is a washer and dryer. Everything you need for a vacation by the sea is provided for you. All dishes,cooking utensils, towels, linens and bedding have been provided. After you barbecue your supper, sit on the deck and enjoy the beautiful sunsets. Also a small sand area for the kids to beachcomb for treasure .
