Five Rivers State park is the second largest Delta in the United States. It gets it's name from the 5 rivers that empty into the Delta.The cottage comfortably sits on a sandy beach on Mobile Bay. The L shaped glass enclosed porch provides a scenic view over looking the sparkling bay and evening sunset. The quiet and serene cottage is 4 miles from the historic Marriott Grand Hotel with fine dinning, tennis courts,a marina and a beautiful golf course. During the Civil War it was used as a hospital. A park with picnic tables and a boat launch are a mile down the road.The cottage is close to Oldtown Fairhope, which has excellent dining, fun shoping,and antique shops. Fairhope has seasonal annual events, such as Polo at the Point,the festive and formal Black Tie and White Ball held at the Grand Hotel, Mardi Gras parades,and the spring and Arts and Craft Festival. The cottage is about 45 minutes to the resort towns of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach located at Gulf Shores.
