Breidablick Cottage has a large living room, an ample kitchen, a patio and a bedroom on the second floor. It also has two bathrooms. The building can accommodate a couple or a family of four in the winter and two couples or a family of four in the summer. Kitchen equipment includes a dishwasher, modern stove, and a complete compliment of flatware and cooking utensils for six.
The building is also equipped with a liquid crystal television with DVD player, a contemporary stereo/CD player (bring your CDs and DVDs), and wireless broadband internet access. A modern wood stove allows winter guest to choose between the deep heat of wood or the convenience of a propane heater. Also included in a small library are numerous books and maps.
Breidablick Cottage's foremost feature is the living room. Once the blacksmith shop, the room’s most unique feature is the cathedral ceiling spanning up to a windowed copula 23 feet above the wide oak floors. During the day, the room dances with natural light streaming in though its many south facing windows and a pair of french doors that open out to a stone patio. Below is the rest of the farm and the valley stretching out beyond.
The Cottage’s cozy and comfortable living room is ideal for persons to be together; a couple catching up in conversations or hosting gatherings with family and friends. It is a place to enjoy a good movie or television program or just sitting back and listening to your favorite music.
From the Cottage's bedroom, the highest room at the farm, is a view of of the farm house, barn and meadow below and, in the distance is the spine of the green mountains. It is a lovely room with wide board pine floors, wainscoting and other trim details and a small work table equipped with a computer port. A private bathroom adjoins the room.
Breidablick Cottage has two options for accommodating four people: either a family of four or two couples. The first option is the use of the fold-down futon couch in the living room. The second option is using a small bed room, called the Castle, which is 100 feet from Breidablick.
